Advance progressive Materices(APM)

Assessment

Mr. xxxxxxxxx has been tested with APM. This Test is particularly useful as a guide for students to select advanced science and technical studies. Development of intelligence at three different levels is an indicator of success.

Set I measures major factors such as Extension ability, Deduction ability, Constancy and Logic. He has scored 11 correct out of 12 items in SET- I. This score manifest that he is a “Bright” Student and can grasp the above mentioned principle of Set I easily.

xxxxxxxxx has scored 19 correct out of 36 items in Set II. This Set of APM provides a mean of assessing all the Analytical and Integral Operation involved in higher thought processes. In administration of Set II, We have checked-
1.Intellectual Efficiency
2.Pattern Recognition
3.Thinking Clarity

His percentile score is 87.5P. This means xxxxxxxxx is above 87.5 Percent of the Population of his age in terms of clarity of thinking, pattern recognition and intellectual efficiency.

The score indicates that xxxxxxxxx can excel in academics but hard work is required 2.1% of genius population is above him in terms of IQ. His score is in range of “above average people” of the society, and he belongs to 15.7% of the population who are above average in terms of said parameters. His IQ is between 118 to 122 level.

However, he must understand that 2.1% of population of his age is better than him. This 2.1% population is of genius students.

xxxxxxxxx perceptual ability is good. He has completed the test within 1 hour. As mentioned aforesaid, xxxxxxxxx basic abilities such as ability to Extend, Deduct, to observe constancy in environment and applying appropriate logic is well developed.

However, xxxxxxxxx has to work on some psychological phenomena to improve his Intellectual Efficiency and Sustainable Potential Abilities in terms of higher thought processes. Most of his wrong answers are due to Incomplete Correlation, Confluence of Ideas and Choosing Wrong Principle to get the answer. He needs to improve the following areas-

•Understanding the similarities and differences in ambiguous situations.
•Elimination of redundant information.
•Ability to think about abstract
•Focus on one thought at a time.

Conclusion: xxxxxxxxxx is a capable person. He has developed reasonably good level for Orderly Thinking Logical Induction, comparison, extension of thought etc. However, he has to improve his capacity of observation, application of correct thought, elimination of unnecessary information, using correct principle & relation. This improvement is required to compete with population of 2.1% students who are genius.
